Upper Chichester, PA —– Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) is operating free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites for a fourteenth year. This year CAADC will be hosting four sites serving low- and moderate-income families in Delaware County. All the sites will be staffed by IRS trained and certified community volunteers and will aim to serve families who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit. Last year CAADC assisted over 1,000 households with completing their taxes. The free sites will be located at the Wesley House at 701 Madison Street in Chester, PA 19013; Sharon Hill Commons at 401 Sharon Avenue in Sharon Hill, PA 19079; the Boothwyn Office, 1414 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, PA 19061; and at Watkins Community Center, 326 Watkins Ave., Upper Darby, PA 19082.
The sites begin operation on January 27th and will continue through April 15th. All sites are by appointment only with hours occurring Monday through Saturday (days and hours vary at each site). To schedule an appointment please call (610) 833-4455.
