Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) received a grant of $4,300 from Congregation Ohev Shalom in Wallingford. The grant will be used to support CAADC’s Recreation Therapy Program.
The Recreation Therapy Program’s objective is to design and implement activities and strategies targeted to break the potential generational cycle of homelessness. Program components include a Recreation Therapist, assessment and therapy, After School Tutoring Program, After Camp program, Parent-Child Programs and special events. The program is based out of CAADC’s Family Management Center, a homeless shelter for families, located in Chester.
