Upper Chichester, PA – Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) celebrates National Community Action Month during the month of May. Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. is a primary provider of social services in Delaware County including helping with emergency shelter, rental assistance, utility assistance, workforce development initiatives, Veterans programs and Weatherization.
CAADC is proud to join over 1,000 Community Action Agencies nationwide celebrating their efforts helping low-income people move toward self-sufficiency and economic stability. National Community Action Month highlights Community Action Agencies’ work helping millions of families and individuals escape poverty and achieve economic stability each year. Community Action Agencies have been supporting their local communities for over 60 years changing people’s lives, embodying the spirit of hope, improving communities and making America a better place to live.
CAADC CEO Edward T. Coleman stated “Each May, during Community Action Month, we reflect on the impact our Agency has had on the local community. It is our honor to serve the residents of Delaware County especially helping our most vulnerable residents including families, the homeless, senior citizens, youth and Veterans.”
CAADC, a non-profit corporation, provides a wide range of services aimed at encouraging self-sufficiency for economically disadvantaged residents and helping families facing an economic crisis. Last year CAADC locally helped over 8,000 residents with assistance while nationally Community Action Agencies helped over 15 million Americans.
