BHCU closed its branches in Ridley Park, Havertown and Glen Mills on September 6th so that their employees could perform a day of service at the Wesley House Shelter.  The Wesley House Shelter, operated by Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC), provides safe and decent emergency housing to families and single women from Delaware County.  The BHCU team spent the whole day at the Wesley House Shelter doing some much-needed renovation and face-lifting, especially in the most important spaces for the children.  Activities included repairing drywall, painting, weeding overgrown gardens and fixing up the playground.  BHCU staff did necessary repairs in the lounge area, playground, garden and the shed that houses many outdoor supplies.  Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of CAADC, stated “We really appreciate all the efforts of the BHCU staff that donated their time to help out our homeless clients.  This shows how much BHCU truly cares about its community.”
