Upper Chichester – Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) held its 1st Annual Bingo Night Fundraiser to support its homeless shelters and raised over $18,000.  The event was organized by the volunteer Save Our Shelters (S.O.S.) Committee to provide funding for the shelters operated by CAADC including the Wesley House, Family Management Center and the Life Center of Eastern Delaware County.  All of the proceeds raised from the event will go directly towards operation of these homeless shelters for families and individuals.

The “Fall Into Bingo” Fundraiser was held on November 16th and generously hosted by St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Upper Darby.  Over 250 attendees had a wonderful time playing ten rounds of bingo for great prizes plus a bonus round.  Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of CAADC, stated “We really appreciate the efforts of the S.O.S. Committee and St. Demetrios for hosting the event.  Our shelters could not remain open without community support so we really appreciate everyone that attended as well.”

If you were unable to attend the event but would like to donate to the Save Our Shelters (S.O.S.) Campaign, please donate at www.caadc.org or send donations to Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc., 1414 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, PA 19061.
