Upper Chichester – Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc.’s (CAADC) Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) Program is now accepting applications from eligible youth. The Clinical Medical Assistant Program is designed to help out-of-school youth gain the skills for a rewarding career in the healthcare industry.
Program components include Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) courses; CMA certification; paid clinical externship with a local healthcare provider; case management; financial literacy, life skills and job readiness workshops; and job development and placement. This exciting opportunity included externships last year with Penn Medicine, United Medical and Premier Orthopedics.
The program has expanded this year but there are still only a limited number of available slots and applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between the ages of 17 and 24
- Currently reside in Delaware County
- Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- And be ready to jump start a new career!!!
