Upper Chichester – Community Action of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) was recently honored by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) – Media Area Unit.  Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of CAADC, accepted the Foot Soldiers for Justice Award at the NAACP Media Area Branch Freedom Fund Luncheon held on Saturday December 14th at the Springhaven Country Club.  CAADC, which celebrated its 40th Anniversary this year, is a primary provider of social services in Delaware County including three homeless shelters, case management, workforce development initiatives, Veteran services, rental assistance, utility assistance, weatherization, food assistance, etc.  CAADC received the award for its “commitment and dedication to social justice and uncommon service to the community.”
