Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc.‘s (CAADC) Administrative Offices have moved from Media to its Boothwyn location.  CAADC’s Administrative Offices have joined with its Social Service Programs at 1414 Meetinghouse Road in Boothwyn, PA 19061.  Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. has been Delaware County’s designated anti-poverty agency since 1979. The non-profit agency provides a wide range of services aimed at encouraging self-sufficiency for low-income individuals and families.

CAADC renovated a former elementary school to create 36,000 square feet of office space.  Renovations included installing a geothermal HVAC system to make the site more energy efficient.  Services offered out of the location include rental assistance, utility assistance, youth programs, workforce development programs, free tax preparation, Veteran services and a variety of other assistance to help Delaware County families achieve self-sufficiency.  In addition, CAADC serves as the county’s lead coordinated-entry agency for homeless services in Delaware County.
