Upper Chichester – Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) recently received a $5,000 grant from the Independence Foundation.  CAADC will utilize this support to assist Delaware County residents to move towards self-sufficiency including through its homeless programs and food assistance programs.  CAADC is a vital provider of social services in Delaware County including providing housing assistance, emergency shelters, utility assistance, food assistance and workforce development programs.

Mr. Coleman stated, “As we continue to provide low-income families and residents in crisis with help to stabilize their housing, community support is crucial for us to reach this goal.  We really appreciate the assistance from the Independence Foundation for families in Delaware County.”

The Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. has been providing services to the residents of Delaware County since 1979.
